Xavier's Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) - Jamshedpur has been ranked by national magazines as one of the top 5 business schools in India. Over the years, XLRI has also evolved a unique culture of its own that separates it from most other business schools. The campus is nestled in the city of Jamshedpur with its own hills to the west (Dalma hills) and the Subarnarekha river. The Institute has a compact campus that houses the faculty, students and the academic blocks within 40 acres, which provides the opportunity of knowing every student/faculty personally.
FACTS
* XLRI was founded in 1949 by Fr. Quinn Enright, S.J. in the Steel City of Jamshedpur. Fr. Enright visualized XLRI to be a partner in the liberation and development journey of the independent India with a vision of "renewing the face of the earth".
* The College has a centrally air-conditioned Library divided into sections for reading, book stocking and a section where students are free to access the computers and other required electronic gadgets in their curriculum.
* The Institute focuses a big deal on the IT infrastructure. A number of workshops and seminars are organized for the benefit of the students as well as for faculties to keep them updated with the changing trends in the IT industry.
* Sports is taken seriously in the institute; to encourage students different courts have been developed along with a fully equipped gym available to all students.
* There are four buildings for students residence, two each for men and women respectively. The total capacity of each building is approximately 100 students.
* The Institute has a fully equipped auditorium with a total capacity of 150 students.

1. BM: 2-Year Post Graduate Programme in Business Management.
2. PMIR: 2 -Year Post Graduate Programme in Personnel University are eligible to apply.
3. FPM: 4-Year Fellow Programme in Management.
4. 1-Year General Management Programme.
Eligibility:
1. For BM and PM & IR programmes, graduates who have completed three years of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by a University or Deemed University are eligible to apply. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2008 may also apply.
2. For GMP, minimum 5 years of relevant experience after graduation (10+2+3) as on March 31, 2008 is required.
XLRI Prospectus:
XLRI Prospectus can be obtained from the branches of SBI listed below for Rs. 800/- (Nonrefundable). Enclose the third copy of XLRI/Bank pay-in-slip along with the XLRI PA Form that can be downloaded from the website- www.xlri.edu
A candidate can apply for more than one programme, but not more than three programmes. If he/she intends to apply for more than one programme, an additional amount of Rs. 500 (Total Rs. 1300/-) towards XLRI Prospectus has to be paid.
One can also obtain the XLRI Prospectus by sending a non-refundable amount of Rs. 850/- or Rs. 1350/- (for applying more than one programme) in the form of DD drawn in favour of XLRI Jamshedpur payable at SBI, XLRI Branch (4660) along with the XLRI PA form that need to be downloaded.
