Weightage For CAT Score Is Going To Be Low In 2010
Some of the Indian Institutes of Management have decided to redraft the method of selecting the candidates by reducing the weightage for CAT score. For example, IIM-Kozhikode, which positioned the highest weightage on CAT scores all these years i.e. 90 points, has proposed reducing it to 50 points for this academic year's admission. "This year, we plan to consider candidates' performance in Class-X and XII examinations, too, apart from their work experience," said a senior IIM-Kozhikode faculty. The Bangalore B-School has decided to scrap the group discussion and in place expects candidates to write an essay. But IIM-Calcutta decided to stick to its old selection pattern and score weightage.
